Accounting Clerk | Lehi,UT

Join Nexeo HR s Internal Team and Help Drive our accounting team

Nexeo HR is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our internal team in Lehi,Utah. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting the accounting team with day-to-day financial tasks and providing essential support for the organization s financial processes. This includes processing transactions,verifying financial data,entering and reviewing payroll,managing accounts receivable functions such as invoicing and payment posting,and ensuring accuracy in records to maintain reliable and timely financial reports.

Responsibilities

Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software and maintain organized records.

Generate and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.

Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.

Apply customer payments and reconcile accounts regularly.

Assist in reconciling bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.

Collect and verify employee timesheets,hours worked,deductions,and other payroll data.

Assist with month-end and year-end financial close activities,including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Ensure all transactions adhere to company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting,finance,or related field is preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is often preferred,especially familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office,with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel.

Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards.

Professional Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in accounting records.

The ability to use a computer,navigate the internet,and use software applications.

Managing and organizing emails,using email etiquette,and using email to communicate effectively is a must.

Pay

$20.00-$25.00 Per Hour

Schedule

Full Time | Monday Friday | 8:00AM 5:00PM

*This position is in office in Lehi,UT. operates in a professional office environment with no specialized physical demand.
