Job Title: Senior Fund Accounting Manager

Location: Menlo Park; Hybrid

Salary: $175-200k + Bonus

Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half is partnering with a leading venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, this organization is known for backing bold entrepreneurs across technology, healthcare, sustainability, and frontier sectors. With a strong track record of early-stage investing and a mission-driven approach, the firm combines deep industry expertise with a commitment to innovation and impact.

Responsibilities:

Maintain Fund and General Partner (GP) general ledgers, including recording quarterly expenses, accruals, intercompany payables/receivables, investment transactions, and partner allocations

Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards

Partner with finance leadership to support audit and tax filings by coordinating with external service providers, researching technical accounting issues, and managing internal and external audit/tax processes

Monitor cash positions for assigned Funds to ensure appropriate liquidity management

Calculate, record, and process capital calls and distributions at both the Fund and Investment levels

Review reporting packages prepared by Fund Administration Accountants, including capital call/distribution notices, quarterly/annual financials, and investor requests

Collaborate with Investor Relations to address limited partner inquiries and support ongoing communication needs

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or within a fund environment; background in Venture Capital, Private Equity, or other investment firms is a plus

Solid understanding of investment partnership accounting principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data management

Familiarity with AltaReturn or Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus

Self-motivated with a strong desire to grow professionally, excellent time management, and ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
