Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

Provide customer service in a manufacturing environment, managing assigned customer accounts.

Communicate effectively and timely to keep customers informed of their order status.

Work collaboratively with a team of Customer Service Representatives and other departments to find appropriate solutions.

Escalate customer queries and concerns as necessary.

Identify the quickest and most effective ways to answer customer questions and find solutions.

Serve as the first point of contact for customers when processing orders and requests.

Process customer complaints, returns, and invoices promptly.

Respond to customer requests for product information and samples.

Manage customer complaints to ensure proper corrective actions are taken, documenting information appropriately.

Provide training and mentoring for Customer Service Coordinators as needed.

Manage customer portals, including recovering purchase orders and re-entering invoice data.

Collaborate with internal teams such as Supply Chain and Sales to manage situations impacting the customer.

Obtain required approvals to issue customer credits as needed.

Track shipments for customers and provide assistance in expediting.

Manage the consignment process for approved customers, questioning any discrepancies in inventory.

Essential Skills

Experience in customer service within a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in order management.

Strong communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to work as a team player.

Experience in logistics and data entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in inventory management.

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.

Capability to assess and escalate urgent issues to sales and management as appropriate.

Work Environment

The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the flexibility of working remotely on Mondays and Fridays, and on-site from Tuesday to Thursday. Initial training will occur on-site, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM for 3-4 weeks

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
