Amazon Music is seeking a Finance Manager to lead our funnel strategies and drive new initiatives for customer growth while ensuring financial efficiency. As the finance leader for Amazon Music's funnel, you will partner closely with Prime, Alexa, and Device teams to develop and evaluate cross-platform strategies. You will also partner closely with Music Product and Marketing and provide financial guidance for key new initiatives while maintaining strong financial governance.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking and business partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence decisions through financial insights and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders. You will have experience leading complex financial analyses, developing business cases for new initiatives, and implementing financial strategies in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Strong leadership skills are essential, as you will collaborate extensively with teams across various Amazon teams to maximize funnel performance and drive Amazon Music's growth. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in evaluating business opportunities, conducting ad hoc valuations for new initiatives, and translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Advanced financial modeling skills, excellent communication abilities, and a track record of driving results through influence are crucial for success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partner with business teams to value propositions
Develop business cases to support all major financial decisions
Prepare financial metrics, financial analysis, and financial reporting
Manage global financial and business forecast model(s)
Develop, maintain and enhance finance controllership via models, reports, and processes
Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events
Root cause opportunities for improvement using data, then assisting the Amazon Music team to take action on your findings
A day in the life
Envision strategizing with product and marketing stakeholders on customer-facing initiatives to drive customer growth.
You will work with the Prime, Alexa, and Devices teams to strategize on growth for Amazon and Amazon Music.
You will drive alignment across Music marketing and product teams on new initiatives to growth customer growth.
You will develop and own key funnel forecast models and partner with internal finance partners to drive customer and financial forecast and analytics.
About the team
The Amazon Music Finance team is designed to be collaborative; although each individual have clear ownership of an area(s), success typically involves partnering with our finance leads for other tiers, or specialties.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Experience communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
