The Customer Engagement and Experience team is a part of US marketing and nurtures profitable customer relationships through meaningful engagements and seamless experiences by leveraging data, innovation, and technology.
The Customer Experience and Engagement team relentlessly pursues ways to remove friction and add delight for customers and crew throughout their journeys, enabling our customers to choose McDonald's more across all digital channels. They also oversee the digital customer engagement strategy, investment, ad execution across all owned channels.
McDonald's aims to grow McDelivery through both third-party platforms (like DoorDash, Uber Eats and GrubHub) and our first-party platform, the McDonald's app. As a key growth driver, McDelivery reaches customers during times they don't typically order McDonald's.
US McDelivery team is seeking an innovative Delivery Operations Manager to help drive the growth, execution, and optimization of McDelivery across the US system. In this role, you will be responsible for elevating the delivery experience for customers, restaurants, and third-party delivery partners while ensuring operational excellence through strong cross-functional collaboration, process development, and problem solving.
You will serve as a key operations leader, bridging national strategies with field execution, providing subject matter expertise, and building scalable processes that enable the successful deployment and growth of delivery across the US business.
Duties
Leadership & Strategic Execution
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to internal stakeholders, field SMEs, and Operator teams to drive delivery results
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for delivery operations, supporting the development of scalable restaurant processes
Lead day-to-day cross-functional communication and coordination, ensuring seamless alignment across Marketing, Technology, Finance, Business Insights, Operations, and Field Staff
Champion McDonald's core values and leadership behaviors in all interactions and deliverables
Operational Excellence
Develop, enhance, and maintain delivery operations processes, routines, and systems that drive sustainable business results
Identify and remove operational roadblocks that hinder delivery adoption, digital integration, or customer experience
Build timelines, schedules, and project plans to ensure on-time and successful execution of initiatives
Program Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong working relationships with Field Teams, Owner/Operators, and external partners
Establish and maintain communication protocols to ensure alignment on business priorities, drivers, and performance
Support key business meetings, planning sessions, and initiative updates
Business Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Provide data-driven recommendations to field teams and Owner/Operators to optimize delivery performance
Continuously evaluate operational processes for improvement opportunities and implement best practices system-wide
Customer & Restaurant Experience
Develop and institutionalize seamless end-to-end processes that deliver superior customer and crew experiences
Support innovation within the restaurant, the McDonald's app, and 3rd party apps to drive growth of the delivery business and/or operational efficiencies
Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred
5+ years of experience in operations, deployment, or field consulting roles
Experience in restaurant operations, digital deployment, or delivery fulfillment models
Excellent cross-functional communication and influence skills
Experience working with franchisee/Owner-Operator systems and/or field leadership
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Proven track record of executing complex initiatives from planning through implementation
Experience collaborating with Third-Party Delivery providers (3PD/3PO) is a plus
Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $98,140.00 - $125,130.00 per year
