Coordinates hospital productivity reporting and tracking with assistance from System Decision Support; daily and bi-weekly productivity reports, development of productivity monitoring
and reporting tools, analyze and develop action plans to improve operating performance and maintain divisions' budgetary goals.
Works collaboratively with System Finance and Decision Support to produce an accurate and timely monthly financial close process and financial reporting mechanism; support
leadership with analysis and interpretation of information.
Completes the annual non labor and labor budgets by working collaboratively with division leaders to establish budget labor standards consistent with Syntellis peer benchmarking and
System peer departments.
Facilitates lean initiatives among division departments and committees; promoting improvements and efficiency in quality, patient and physician satisfaction and cost.
Monitor revenues, expenses and key financial indicators by procedure, physician, service line and other alignments to identify opportunities for increasing revenues and/or decreasing
expenses.
Coordinates physician reporting via scorecards and metrics to determine key result areas results and coordinates with physicians and other leaders to determine areas of improvement.
Coordinates revenue enhancement and cost containment analyses for key leaders to better understand the financial impact of operations and key decisions.
Implements the operations of the Finance division related to capital planning, budgeting, physician payments, monthly operating reviews (MORs), data analysis and other day to day
operations.
Facilitates a learning environment among division leaders and staff to support budgetary and financial goals of the System; i.e. develop daily productivity monitoring tools for
departments, staffing analysis (demand), staffing grids. As well as other ad-hoc or miscellaneous tools which help leaders better understand and manage their business entity.
Liaison between hospital and system for system functions impacting hospital operations.
Oversee, in conjunction with the VP of Finance, cost centers with a system reporting that impact hospital operations.
Complete the FTE request list for Executive Council (EC) each week and review with FTE review committee prior to EC. Include dollar impact for any new positions/upgrades.
Communicate status of positions to requestors and EFG applicable.
Provide training to department leaders on productivity and financial tools as requested.
Work with Business Development to develop ROI and feasibility of services and programs.
Work with senior leaders to develop reports and financial tools to analyze impact of department activities.
Work with System finance and hospital staff to prepare appropriate accruals.
Presents financial and contracting updates to the QAPI committee.
Requirements: Master'sDegree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
