Description

We are looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Skokie, Illinois. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless coordination between production, vendors, and internal teams. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage job specifications, vendor communication, and quality control processes effectively. This job is 100% on-site, M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update job statuses, production specifications, and related data in the job management system.

Input job details into the system to initiate production workflows and ensure accurate tracking.

Upload final images, files, and documents into the database to support production and delivery processes.

Create and execute purchase orders while effectively communicating with external vendors.

Monitor vendor delivery timelines and address any issues to ensure timely receipt of goods.

Collaborate closely with production teams to communicate schedule changes and resolve delivery concerns.

Review production samples for quality assurance and ensure they meet established standards.

Prepare proofs and samples for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Develop and document best practices to improve efficiency and support team activities.

Participate in regular team meetings to share ideas, address project needs, and foster collaboration.

Requirements

Proven experience in supply chain management or related fields.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Familiarity with procurement processes, including purchase orders and vendor management.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in data entry and quality control.

Proficiency in using job management systems or similar tools.

Experience with logistics and tracking deliveries.

Commitment to customer service and maintaining positive vendor relationships.

The hourly salary range for this position is $24.00 to $32.00 Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
