Description We are looking for a Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our team in San Leandro, California. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring smooth operations and providing exceptional customer service. This is a Contract position ideal for individuals with experience in medical front desk support and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.

Manage inbound phone calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate departments.

Schedule patient appointments and maintain an organized calendar.

Verify and update patient information within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Handle billing tasks, including processing payments and providing patients with billing information.

Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Collaborate with medical staff to streamline office workflow and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Utilize software systems such as Allscripts, Cerner, Dentrix, and Eaglesoft for daily operations.

Assist patients with check-in procedures and address any concerns or questions.

Generate reports and graphs to support administrative tasks and decision-making. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical front desk or similar role.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, including Allscripts and Cerner.

Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft is preferred.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients and colleagues.

Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of billing processes and insurance verification.

Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail in managing patient records.

Comfortable using technology and software for scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks. TalentMatch®
