The Head of Business Execution - Lending, will report directly into the COO for Wealth and Matrix report into the Head of Lending for Wealth. It will form part of the COO and Lending leadership team.

The @types of loans provided include Securities Based Loans, Residential Mortgages, Commercial Real Estate financing, loans against less liquid financial assets along with aircraft, fine art and other personal assets.
The Head of Business Execution - Lending will assist in managing the day-to-day aspects of the business, partnering with the business to implement a framework and governance model that drives business results successfully and consistently across all global regions. The Business Execution Head coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount, audits, business continuity, regulatory issues and other administrative needs/ad hoc projects as necessary.
This role will manage a small team of professionals based across the globe. They will also be responsible for budgeting, planning and policy formulation. The role will reinforce and support management across the group function, with focus on fostering a culture of controls and accountability. The role will drive medium- to long-term plans, co-ordination and oversight of uplift programs across the Lending product and platform along with assistance to leadership team in executing strategies requiring global coordination and integration across lending products and regions. A solid conceptual/practical grounding and / or experience within private client lending and the products typically offered in these segments is preferred, in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business, as well as understanding of the strategic direction of the function within both Citi Wealth and the firm more broadly.
Responsibilities:
Execute against key priorities for the Lending business across multiple countries/jurisdictions and business divisions
Ensure stakeholder buy-in for strategic initiatives, including key stakeholders across the three client segments
Partner with leadership team to set goals for Lending and ensure tracking and ROI measuring are in place for all initiatives
Supports medium- to long-term plans and functional strategies requiring coordination and integration across units, both within Wealth and the broader Citi organization
Partner with leadership team on resource allocation, productivity initiatives and realization of cost efficiency
Drive culture and people initiatives
Act as delegate for Lending head when required in certain meetings
Oversee the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting, and oversight of budgets, financials, operations, human resources and compliance by way of systems, processes, workflows, procedures and the assessment of existing environments and anticipated changes
Engage in cost management activities as appropriate
Monitor strict adherence to governance and ensure risks are addressed, setting high standards of professionalism across all functions
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets
Management responsibilities for a team, including management of people, budgeting and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, etc.
Has authority to negotiate and make independent decisions on issues/activities that have critical impact or influence on the global Lending team.
Develop business cases to drive strategic partnership across Wealth that give Citi a competitive advantage with clients
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience in financial services
Strategically minded with track record of execution excellence
Hands-on orientation with the demonstrated ability to set up internal processes to communicate and resolve issues
Proven financial acumen, critical thinker with ability to provide an impartial, consultative and solutions-oriented approach
Comprehensive knowledge of general IT infrastructure, Human Capital Management (HCM) and financial advice-related compliance
Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with commitment to client and team member experience, goals of practice and productivity
Demonstrated planning, delegation, financial reporting and budgeting skills
Consistently detail-oriented, goal-oriented and able to work in a team
Excellent communication skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences
Prior success working in a large, highly-matrix and complex organization; able to set priorities and 'triage' in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Technical knowledge, in-depth knowledge of Profit and Loss (P&L) and understanding of end to end business operating systems.
Customer and client focus; record of achievement in applying a client centric mindset to shape solutions and approaches
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
