Job Title: Welding/Fabrication Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welding/Fabrication Supervisor to oversee and contribute to the assembly of modular control buildings. This position involves tasks ranging from the construction of custom steel bases to the installation and fitting of doors, HVAC systems, and other essential components. You will play a crucial role in ensuring mechanical equipment is properly laid out and assembled according to engineered drawings and standards.
Responsibilities
Fabricate modular control buildings from custom steel bases to full fit out, including walls, roofs, doors, and HVAC systems.
Properly lay out mechanical equipment within modular buildings.
Assemble mechanical equipment per standards and engineered drawings.
Mount and install electrical and mechanical components professionally within modular control buildings.
Visually locate components and determine proper clearances.
Properly label and document component identification and location.
Assist with preparing assembled equipment for system testing procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized production area daily.
Review BOM (bill of materials) to assess equipment receipt and readiness for project assembly.
Utilize industrial tools such as welders, grinders, band saws, shears, punches, benders, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment safely.
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Operations Managers to understand system assembly requirements and shipment schedules.

Experience with hand tools, structural steel, and sheet metal
High School Diploma required; Associate's degree in Industrial/Mechanical field or related Military experience preferred
2+ years of mechanical and/or fabrication experience required for Staff Technician Level
5-10 years of experience preferred, with preference for AWS welding experience and certifications
Strong preference for CWI certification

Work Environment
Work in a panel/fabrication facility with a shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Currently, there is no overtime until the team is expanded.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baldwin, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
