As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. By maintaining a visible presence, you help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide a reassuring point of contact for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel only.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
Work closely with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to maintain a secure environment within the tech, media, and telecom location.

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
