ENTRY-LEVEL HIRING!!! Painter Helper

Job Description

Join the paint team in a large metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa, CA. We are seeking a dedicated Painter Helpers for the first shift , working from 6am to 2:30pm and 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm). Pay will be based on experience and starts at $16.50 for no experience and $18 an hour for experience with overtime available daily. Spanish speaking only or bilingual a big plus.

The Paint Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the paint department by preparing parts for operators. This involves pulling and mixing paint, filling out necessary paperwork, and ensuring the smooth operation of racking, un-racking, and part surface preparation processes.

Responsibilities

Prepare and support the paint department by mixing and pulling paint as needed.

Assist with racking and un-racking of parts, ensuring their readiness for painting.

Stage and prepare orders in accordance with the facility's guidelines.

Fill out paperwork accurately to track the painting process.

Prepare the surface of parts to meet quality standards before painting.

Inspect in-process paint using tools such as duelscope.

Read and interpret basic sketches and blueprints to ensure accuracy.

Utilize inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometer, mechanical gauges, x-ray, and thickness gauges, to verify part specifications.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in paint preparation, mixing, and racking.

Ability to perform inspections using various tools and equipment.

Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills.

Familiarity with inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a metal finishing or painting environment is advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr.
