Our UPMC Corporate Payroll Department is searching for a Senior Payroll Representative to join the team! This is a regular, full-time position that primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. A perk of this position includes very flexible work arrangements! In this role, the Senior Payroll Representative will serve as a department resource for all payroll operations, tax and compliance activities. They'll assist in the biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll, tax, and compliance processing. They'll make entries, adjustments, and corrections to payroll information to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and corporate policy. Additionally, they'll provide excellent customer service when responding to payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the processing of biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll, and tax activities

Make entries, adjustments, and corrections to payroll information to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and corporate policy.

Respond timely and accurately to payroll questions and requests. Escalate or refer complex questions and problems as appropriate.

Records, responds, and completes wage/tax related levies, verifications and reporting. Process all addendums that are received for biweekly pay processing

Performs routine foundational payroll transactions, set up, and maintenance with the various time and attendance and HCM systems.

Has a functional understanding of HR Direct, PeopleSoft and Kronos payroll processes and functions. Is able to diagnose, troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve basic to moderate issues.

Handle daily payroll administration activities such as calculate and prepare check authorizations, issue stop payments, check reversals and reissues for lost/stolen checks, etc.

Participate in the testing, communication and implementation of annual open enrollment process, including assisting with benefit fairs.

Serves as functional point person for support, review, and maintenance of advanced payroll activities and processes (i.e. Short Term Disability, Foreign Nationals, Hardships, New Hire and Out of State Tax Setup, File Loads, etc.)

Prepare and send detailed Voucher to Accounts Payable for processing.

High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of professional level payroll experience required.
