OPERATIONS FINANCE ANALYST - Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing

Vinyl Technology LLC is a progressive and growing manufacturer in the Aerospace/Defense sector seeking a highly motivated Operations Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team. We operate in one of the most vital and fast-paced segments of today's economy.

Since 1981, Vinyl Technology has been a trusted producer of custom plastic and industrial fabric products, serving a wide range of industriesfrom military and space programs to medical and extreme sports. Known for our exceptional customer service and commitment to quality, we operated as a family-owned business until 2024, when we were acquired by Survitecglobal leaders in Survival Technology, including wearable survival equipment, fire safety solutions, and survival craft systems.

The Operations Finance Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the companys financial data, supporting effective financial planning, analysis, and operational decision-making.

What We're Looking For: Our ideal candidate is analytical, highly detail-oriented, and capable of processing and interpreting large volumes of data to identify trends and support strategic insights.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree: Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business (MBA or CPA/CMA is a plus)

5+ years experience in Accounting and Corporate Finance

Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven, or manufacturing environment (standard costing, mfg variances, bill of material review, gross margin analysis)

Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

In-depth understanding of GAAP

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close

FAR, DFAR Regulations is a plus but not a requirement

Knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing and logistics

Ability to link financial outcomes with operations drivers (KPIs, process efficiencies, etc.)

Strategic thinking and commercial awareness

Support for decision-making and performance improvement

Financial Planning Software / Tools

ERP Knowledge (Epicor/Kinetic experience a plus)

Strong analytical skills

Self-starter

Deadline-Oriented and thoroughness

Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, etc)

Experience with ISO / AS9100 quality management systems

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial reporting and controls:

Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, monthly reconciliations, end of year reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Close books timely, efficiently, and accurately

Reconciliations, ERP closing, Journal Entries, Audit Support

Inventory Control analytics and reporting

Year-end physical inventory support

Monitor and track production variances

Material Usage variances

Labor variances

Purchase Price variances

Collaborate with production, supply chain, engineering, and finance t
