Responsibilities:
Collaborating with the healthcare team to assess, plan, and implement patient care
Communicating changes in patient conditions to ensure timely interventions
Documenting patient information comprehensively to support caregiver communication
Providing patient and family education for effective care transitions
Mentoring and supporting the orientation of new staff members
Actively participating in quality improvement and process improvement initiatives
Upholding UPMC standards for compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive, collaborative environment

1+ years of nursing experience strongly preferred.
Completion of IV therapy curriculum within 4 months of hire/transfer (required if graduated before 2012)
Strong teamwork skills and ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff
Ability to handle complex environments, prioritize tasks, and use electronic health records
Physical ability for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
Active LPN license in the practicing state or within the Nursing Licensure Compact
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
