The Manager, Digital Marketing Operations will be responsible for owning the structure, integrity, and operational excellence of marketing data for the unauthenticated Sallie.com experience and other Education Services marketplaces. You'll play a pivotal role in enabling our marketing and product teams to deliver targeted, effective campaigns and experiences. Your focus will be on event tagging, workflow automation, segmentation, custom objects, and digital marketing data operations. The ideal candidate will serve as the in-house expert on marketing data operations within our HubSpot platform and will help empower growth and innovation across Sallie's digital marketing ecosystem in close partnership with stakeholders across marketing, product, and sales.
What You'll Do
Oversee the end-to-end management of digital marketing operations, including the creation of streamlined processes, project timelines, and workflows.
Lead the integration, management, and optimization of digital marketing platforms and marketing automation tools ensuring that they are effectively utilized to meet campaign objectives.
Establish and enforce marketing operations best practices, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement across campaigns.
Architect and maintain scalable marketing data in HubSpot, including custom objects, properties, and workflows, to support evolving marketing and product needs.
Implement and refine event tagging strategies to ensure robust tracking of key marketing and product interactions.
Build, optimize, and document workflows for lead management and lifecycle automation.
Develop and manage segmentation strategies to enable precise targeting for campaigns, product launches, and lifecycle communications.
Conduct regular audits and data hygiene initiatives to ensure data integrity, compliance, and readiness for growth initiatives.
Leverage programmable automation to streamline data enrichment, normalization, and synchronization.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance digital marketing operations and improve overall performance.

What You Have
Minimum education, skills and experience required.
Strong experience in managing end-to-end digital marketing project implementations across multiple platforms.
Expertise in marketing automation platforms and digital advertising platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Optimizely, or similar tools).
Proven track record of data analysis and reporting, with the ability to derive insights and optimize campaign performance.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead cross-functional teams.
Preferred education, skills, and experience.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Systems or a related field.
5+ years of experience in digital marketing, marketing operations, or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining workflows, lead segmentation, and custom data objects.
Experience with event tagging & tag management tools such as Google Tag Manager or Tealium
Familiarity with SQL or Snowflake for data exploration
Knowledge of a scripting language such as Python or JavaScript
Involvement with web experimentation or digital marketing analytics
Hubspot certifications (Operations, Marketing, or CRM)
