GENERAL SUMMARY

Under direction of the Director of Revenue Cycle, the Patient Financial Service (PFS) Payment Analyst will post payments, compile monthly reports, enter adjustments and review explanation of benefits (EOBs) for accuracy and other such duties as indicated.

To provide personalized, professional healthcare services to the residents of the Communities we serve.

\ PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Enter all payments/adjustments/denials daily by either manually entry or electronic posting.\ Accurately records all posted payments in Daily Cash Worksheet.\

Create deposits daily and notify Finance for reporting.\

Open and distribute denials, requests for medical records or any other mail that needs to be distributed to other staff.\ Provide NextGen & Evident (CPSI) support functions for the Patient Financial Service (PFS) Office.\ Compile monthly reports and generate and/or update Excel spreadsheets requested for Revenue Cycle Management.\ Make outgoing and receive incoming calls and answers inquiries from patients, insurance companies and all other parties regarding estimates, status and billing concerns.\ Effectively communicate to customers needs with the appropriate level of urgency.\ Appropriately refers all non-routine issues to management for clarification.\ Review all Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for accuracy.\

Assist in all Patient Financial Services (PFS) functions as assigned.\ All other duties as assigned.\

Maintains confidentiality in ALL aspects of the position.
