We are currently seeking a Sr Supply Chain Planner for our Medtronic's Robotic Surgical Technologies Operating Unit.
This will be a hybrid opportunity for someone living within North America who lives commuting distance from a Medtronic site. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the patients we serve and an unrelenting desire to improve our business by driving supply chain solutions.
This role requires to work 4 days in office and 1 day remotely.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develop the Master Production Schedule (MPS) each month optimizing service while constraint by resources.
Identify and participate in the resolution of issues by employing strong analytical and planning skills.
Analyze, develop, and implement long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
Conduct weekly operations calls with manufacturing sites and distribution centers to align on weekly production schedule and to understand any capacity/supply constraints
Utilize SAP/APO to ensure correct flow of demand signals through the whole value stream and ensure accuracy of build prompts at manufacturing sites
Actively plan and support new business initiatives, new product launches, product rationalizations, and agility transfers
Own supply chain service and inventory metrics. Leadership of regular cross-functional metric performance reviews
Partner with the manufacturing plants, developing projections of service recovery during periods of supply disruption, and taking proactive actions to minimize product availability issues and timely communicate to global regions
Develop working relationships with planners globally and build a "virtual" team throughout value stream
Work cross functionally on project teams and develop relationships with Manufacturing, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Engineering, and customer service
Act as a key resource in monthly IBP supply cycle responsible for site production plan accuracy to requirements, rough cut capacity views and scenario planning.
Drive operation metrics such net requirements, inventory targets and projections.
Manage inventory to maximize service and minimize investment. Own Enterprise Inventory Optimization (EIO) input for optimization of global safety stocks.
Understand Lean Sigma DMAIC methodology and utilize lean principles and problem-solving methodology to drive continuous improvement in processes leading to service/inventory improvement
Lead complex projects including optimization of production capacity, agility transfers, balancing global inventory network, improving global service levels, and improving manufacturing/ supply chain efficiency.
Act as a Change Agent by identifying / solving problems and improving processes.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required.
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have
4 years of experience in supply chain planning and/or inventory, capacity, or operations planning. Or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain planning and/or inventory, capacity, or operations planning.
MBA / Master's Degree
Experience using SAP/APO, Blue Yonder or other ERP systems
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint focus)
APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification
Excellent mathematics/analytics/statistical skills demonstrated through education or professional background
Demonstrated project management skills
Proven ability to meet and maintain customer / business expectations and requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication
Lean Sigma DMAIC green belt certification
Medical device or related industry experience
Ability to thrive in a complex, matrix and growing organization
Strong understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards related End to End Supply Chain concepts
Ability to assess, analyze, and condense complex data or situations.
Ability to project possible future outcomes and scenarios based on available data. Shapes recommendations to create positive future results despite circumstances or activities that may threaten desired goals
Ability to adapt to changing customer and organizational requirements
Experience cultivating a broad network of relationships with key internal and external constituents.
Good influence management skills and ability to successfully work across geographical boundaries via phone and virtual meetings.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$84,800.00 - $127,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
