We have a great opportunity for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team! You will supervise our warehouse associates engaged in activities including: receiving, storing, handling, wire cutting, inventory control, delivery activity, and ensuring safe practices by associates.
Shift:Monday- Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM. Irregular business hours and occasional weekends based on business needs.
We're looking for a supervisor who:
Oversee the first shift associates in the areas of restocking, order fulfillment (e.g. picking and packing), cycle counts, and other warehouse duties.
Oversee the daily receiving activities including unloading, inspecting, receiving shipments. Address any issues related to incoming shipments like damages or discrepancies.
Perform supervisory functions including delegating, training and developing warehouse associates on a regular basis; make recommendations regarding performance and terminations as necessary; partner with Human Resources as necessary.
Possess knowledge and perform the functions of each warehouse role (e.g. Picking, packing, receiving and shipping) to solve issues that employees may encounter on shift.
Master use of equipment used e.g. RF scanner, wire cutting machine, forklift to train others
Collaborate with Warehouse Manager and Shipping Department to resolve issues as needed.
Identify areas for efficiency improvements and propose solutions to Warehouse Manger.
Serve as a safety ambassador regularly covering safety tips and correcting unsafe practices by associates.
What you bring:
1+ years of experience leading teams in a warehouse environment
Minimum of a High School Degree or G.E.D.
Working knowledge of operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach truck, and electric pallet jacks. You will also use push carts and rolling ladders
Strong people management skills to coach, praise and motivate associates
Strong problem solving skills and ability to maintain a calm demeanor under stressful situations
Excellent communications skills by phone, email, verbal and written forms of communication to deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Knowledge of industry safety best practices and OSHA
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
Ability to operate warehouse equipment and teach how to safely operate.
Ability to be on your stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation
Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills
