Description

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in Santa Cruz, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks in a healthcare environment while providing excellent service to patients and staff. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and bilingual proficiency.

Responsibilities:

Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-ups to ensure seamless operations.

Handle inbound calls, providing accurate information and assistance to patients and healthcare providers.

Maintain and update electronic medical records (EHR) with precision and attention to detail.

Process billing functions and claims administration while adhering to compliance standards.

Assist in the preparation of charts, graphs, and other clinical documentation.

Coordinate with clinical staff to support trial operations and administrative needs.

Utilize Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe for day-to-day tasks.

Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming to patients.

Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and coordinate replenishments as needed.

Uphold business casual or scrubs dress code while maintaining a meticulous demeanor.

Requirements - Proficiency in more than one language is required to communicate effectively with a diverse patient base.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or high-scale retail/hospitality environment.

Strong multitasking abilities and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe) and familiarity with EHR systems.

High school diploma or equivalent education required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and staff.

Ability to work onsite in Santa Cruz, California during standard business hours.

Knowledge of ADP, Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, or similar software is a plus. TalentMatch®
