Financial Analyst - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting financial operations, with a focus on data analysis, schedule updates, and mid-year closing tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with mid-year financial closing tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Analyze and review large datasets using advanced Excel functions to identify trends and discrepancies.

Update financial schedules based on prior months' data and ensure all records are current.

Conduct detailed reviews of financial documents to ensure compliance and precision.

Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks as assigned.

Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Utilize QuickBooks to support financial tracking and reporting.

Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all assigned projects. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial analysis or related role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and complex formulas.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large volumes of data.

Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Solid understanding of financial principles and processes.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
