The Anti-Abuse Operations Manager, as part of the Trust & Safety Operations team, will be responsible for leading a combined Apple and vendor team that protects various Apple products and services from abuse vectors, which include inauthentic account creations, spam, phishing, and other fraudulent activities.
In this role, you will work closely with various cross-functional teams, serving as the conduit to facilitate tactical and strategic approaches to fighting abuse. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with operations, product, and engineering teams to communicate data-driven recommendations for product and security efforts. Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment are keys to success in this fast-moving and collaborative environment.
Description
Deep analytical skills, strong out-of-the-box thinking and a curious mind
Ability to analyze and recommend strategies and solutions for day-to-day abuse attacks
Assess and implement anti-abuse policies and enforce them at scale
Provide technical and strategic leadership to our international operations team
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify areas of focus, improvement, and opportunity
Stay informed about the latest anti-abuse trends, advancements in detection methods, and tools
Constant focus on scale, speed and quality of operations and finding ways to do more, do it faster and do it more accurately
Minimum Qualifications
Management experience with a track record of leading, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing operations team across global timezones providing 24x7 coverage
Ability to make decisions under pressure and in fast-moving, highly sensitive situations
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex findings in a clear and compelling manner
Proficiency with Splunk
Experience negotiating with and managing external vendors and partners
Willingness to collaborate with team members in other time zones, including periodic availability during India Standard Time operating hours
Preferred Qualifications
Skill in dealing with diverse cross-functional environments that include Operations, Product, Support, Engineering, Policy, and Legal teams
Experience with tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Spark
Ability to lead proactive and pragmatic efforts in addressing attacks and threats
Solid understanding of anti-abuse policy enforcement for online platforms and services
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
