Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their established finance team. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and contributing to ongoing improvements in financial operations. The ideal candidate has strong GAAP knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations

Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial data

Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Support budgeting and forecasting processes

Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries

Reconcile bank and credit card accounts

Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to system upgrades or enhancements

Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3-5 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting

Proficiency with ERP system(s) & Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
