Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Geologist to join our environmental consulting team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience or academic record in environmental science, geology, or geotechnical engineering. This role involves conducting site assessments, supporting environmental compliance efforts, and working closely with field personnel to deliver high-quality results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct environmental site assessments and prepare technical reports.

Collect and analyze soil, groundwater, and other environmental samples.

Use statistical software and digital tools to interpret geological data.

Assist in planning and supervising field studies and sampling activities.

Present findings to clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

Operate field equipment and troubleshoot basic mechanical/electrical issues.

Ensure all field activities are conducted safely and in compliance with regulations.

Travel to local and regional project sites, often on short notice.

Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and complete safety training.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain clear communication with clients and partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.

Some professional or internship experience in environmental consulting or fieldwork.

Proficiency in environmental assessment and compliance practices.

Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and soil sampling techniques.

Ability to create field diagrams and use statistical analysis tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions up to 90% of the time.

Valid driver's license and experience operating field vehicles (e.g., pickup trucks).

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with environmental regulations and reporting standards.

Experience using GIS or other mapping software.

Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with equipment manuals.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr.
