Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for the finishing and final inspection of parts and their preparation for shipping according to work instructions. This role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure product quality before shipment.

Responsibilities

Utilize Plex system to ensure product and procedure accuracy.

Remove slag using an air gun and mallet.

Steam clean pieces to remove dirt and chips.

Dip parts into rust remover.

Oil parts prior to packaging.

Conduct final inspection of parts.

Band work pieces and prepare them for shipping.

Build pallets and package boxes for shipment.

Ensure accuracy of product.

Print and label boxes/containers.

Read blueprints to verify product completion.

Work Environment

The facility currently employs 120 people and is expanding to include three shifts. It is older and divided into two separate buildings, characterized by loud, dirty, and varying temperatures. Employees work within specific departments with supervisors and set teams. The facility houses large CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems, and there are ongoing efforts to upgrade the environment. Steel-toed footwear is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $17.40/hr.
