Special Education One to One Paraprofessional

Position Title: Special Education Paraprofessional -- One-to-One Location: Central Elementary Start Date: 2025--2026 School Year Classification: Term Position (Not a new position) Reports To: Classroom Instructor, Director of Special Education, and/or Building Principal

Work Schedule:

Hours: 6.75 hours per day (7:45 AM -- 3:00 PM)

Lunch: -hour unpaid lunch

Days: Monday through Friday, on student instruction days or as directed by administration

Compensation:

Union Transfer: Per Master Contract

New Hire: $16.65 per hour

Benefits: Eligible for Category 1 benefits without a waitlist

Assignment Note: Position is one-to-one with a specific student and is dependent upon student needs

Responsibilities:

Assist assigned teacher with supervision, documentation, and program implementation

Work directly with a specific student and/or small groups of students

Support students' developmental learning activities

Provide basic needs care including bathrooming and diapering

Monitor behavior, implement behavior plans, and support behavioral and medical needs as required

Operate standard office equipment (computers, copiers, laminators, fax machines, etc.)

Participate in in-service training, evaluation, and other assigned duties
