Job Description

At King's Chicken Wings-Union Hall, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a First-Line Supervisor of Food Preparation and Serving Workers. Your role will be integral to ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our customers have an exceptional dining experience. You will oversee the daily activities of our food preparation and serving staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate team members to provide outstanding customer service and ensure all operational standards are met. Address any performance issues and provide constructive feedback to staff.

Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, including food preparation and service, to ensure timely and efficient service. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage and rotation of products.

Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and address any issues promptly.

Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and courteously, ensuring that customer satisfaction is always a priority. Collaborate with staff to resolve any service issues and implement improvements.

Staff Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs. Approve time-off requests and manage shift changes.

Training and Development: Oversee the training and development of new and existing employees, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their potential and adhere to company standards.

Financial Management: Assist with financial tasks such as cash handling, monitoring sales targets, and minimizing waste. Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including food safety and workplace safety standards. Conduct regular safety meetings and drills.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with staff and management, facilitating team meetings and encouraging feedback and ideas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Proficiency in basic financial management and inventory control.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in food safety or hospitality management.

Experience in a quick-service restaurant environment.
