As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols in Piscataway, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a high-end retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence for guests and staff. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour
Job Schedules: Sunday - Thursday 7am - 3:30pm OR Friday - Monday 7am - 3:30pm OR Sunday - Thursday 10:30pm - 7am
What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or hazards to management and/or law enforcement as required.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence.
Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining awareness of merchandise and customer interactions.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to address questions or concerns.
Complete required reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
New Jersey Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
