Overview
As the Director of Electric and Gas Investment Management, you are a key contributor of the RIE Leadership Team reporting directly to the VP and COO, RI Operations responsible for the delivery of the Gas and Electric Infrastructure Safety and Reliability annual plans and management of the Investment plan. A successful candidate must have strong business acumen, be highly organized, and be able to develop and maintain close working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Leads a team of approximately 5 management employees, including 2 Specialists and 3 business analysts. Regulatory responsibilities include being the primary witness for the Gas and Electric ISR filings.
Responsibilities
Oversee development and represent the Company as the Primary witness for the gas and electric ISR filings in a manner that aligns with internal business planning process, positions the company's strategy in the best and most appropriate manner, and adheres to external regulatory filing timelines.
Develop and provide yearly strategy in alignment with OpCo leadership to ensure ISR plan considers internal and external priorities.
Includes anticipating components of plan or other issues that will be likely areas of concern for the Division or PUC
Act as senior liaison between the gas and electric business, regulatory, legal, finance
Primary point of contact with RI Division for all interaction on the Electric ISR consultation process including facilitating meetings with the DPUC, oversee the preparation and guide planning discussions.
Oversee development of Regulatory reporting including quarterly updates, yearly reconciliation filing, and additional audits or reports required through the ISR.
Responsible for Investment planning including developing and managing the five-year Capital budget and forecast and compliance with the company sanction process.
Oversee monthly updates on capital portfolio by liaising with complex management team and monitor delivery of plan.
Oversee Gas and Electric Investment Planning and Management staff members who support all the data and processes.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience in a utility or related industry.
General knowledge of the electric and natural gas industry and the applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
7+ years of people and team leadership experience in a utility environment, driving team performance, engagement, and accountability.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams (strong negotiation, conflict management and problem-solving skills).
Ability to develop positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including governmental agencies.
Confident and able to constructively challenge behaviors and issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and participation in Rhode Island Energy Regulatory matters.
Expert witness involvement.

Remote Work
The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change.
