Description

We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join our team for a contract to hire position. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a dynamic environment, and has experience managing accounting tasks for multiple properties. Responsibilities:

Prepare and process journal entries for up to eight properties, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Oversee all aspects of accounting, including maintaining financial records and reconciling accounts.

Generate month-end entries and compile comprehensive financial statements.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights for decision-making.

Review lease agreements to ensure compliance with financial policies and accuracy.

Support the enhancement of accounting processes by contributing to documentation and improvement initiatives.

Provide technical accounting expertise to meet deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.

Collaborate with teams to align budgeting and financial planning with organizational goals.

Requirements - Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in property accounting, with a focus on detail-oriented work.

Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Solid understanding of accrual accounting principles and practices.

Experience with journal entry preparation and account coding.

Familiarity with Yardi Voyager software is preferred but not required.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
