DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible calculating the taxes and assessments due from each licensed gaming entity every banking day. This involves following established procedures to determine if accounting transactions were processed completely and accurately, then identifying and correcting any errors, in addition to determining if table game tax returns and payments were filed completely and accurately, then identifying and communicating the presence of any irregularities. Our team will rely on you to apply accounting principles and procedures, reconcile multiple tax systems, and produce and organize weekly and monthly reports. You will also communicate with gaming venues about variances via email as needed to complete reconciliations as well as keep your supervisor informed of irregularities as they arise. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are Monday - Friday either 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 60-minute lunch, or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time after successful completion of in-office training. Full-time telework status employees are required to work in-office once per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Five years of Bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting; or
One year as a Financial Programs Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Accounting Intern Program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year as a Fiscal Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration), and fifteen college credits in accounting; or
A Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:
You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners.

This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
