Description

We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Assistant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Miamisburg, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting purchasing operations and ensuring efficient procurement processes. If you have a strong background in merchandising and procurement, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.

Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms of contracts.

Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock levels.

Assist in evaluating vendor performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier communications.

Support the implementation of procurement strategies to enhance cost efficiency.

Resolve issues related to deliveries, quality, or supplier discrepancies.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and analyze trends.

Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all purchasing processes.

Requirements - Proven experience in merchandising and procurement roles.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Familiarity with inventory management and purchasing systems.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
