A vacancy exists for the position of Scheduling Coordinator with the Resource Management Department. Please see the attached job description and outline for the interview.
Normal Minimum Requirements :
At least six (6) months scheduling experience preferred
At least one (1) year admin or call center experience required within the Construction/Utility field
Proficient in use of personal computer (Windows, Outlook)
Proficient in basic Word and Excel
Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills

There will be a three-step testing process required for this position. The first test will be a written technical skill test followed by a computer based Word and Excel test and a behavioral based interview. Each step of the process must be passed to progress to the next.
We are providing a study outline to prepare for both the technical skills written test, the Word and Excel test and the core competency interview. The outline is designed to maximize test results by centralizing study time in the areas listed below:

Behavioral Based Interview
The interview is a behavioral-based interview incorporating Tucson Electric Power Core Competencies. We believe past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior, and more recent behavior, is a better predictor of future behavior than older behavior, and long-standing trends are better predictors of behavior than isolated incidents. We therefore have patterned the questions during the interview to solicit behavior patterns that indicate with high predictability whether the candidate can perform the job as required. This @type of interview is different than those that you may have taken in the past.
Position Description:
Is responsible for assisting with prioritization and scheduling of design (construction) and non-design (service @type work requests). Assists in the coordination of activities including correspondence, work request requirements, scheduling and material requisition of all work requests. Responsible for initiating, recording, tracking, and maintaining accurate records of the activities required for the installation of TEP facilities.
Position-Related Responsibilities:
Assists in the coordination of activities required for the installation of TEP facilities including permits, Bluestake, material requisition, equipment requisition, metering, equipment pool, access problems and outages.
Assists in correspondence between TEP and customers, contractors and developers. This would include receiving and sending plans, TEP construction drawings, preliminary designs (redline drawings), switchgear drawings, specifications, and load plans.
Schedules design (construction) and non-design (service @type) work requests.
Works with Project Management to prioritize non-design (service @type) and design (construction) work requests.
Releases design work requests to Resource Management Team when they are ready to be worked. Processes all information to complete work request through the work management system.
Updating energizing requests that are received from the Systems office. (For release of meter sets, etc.)
Is responsible for entering, tracking and maintaining accurate information on each work request, customer and project. This would include use of the Maximo work management system and CC&B system.
Is responsible for initiating work request orders, trouble orders, meter sets in CC&B and service investigation orders.
Enters applications into the Work Management System and CC&B for future meter sets and service.
Performs other related work for which employee is capable and qualified to perform as assigned.
This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Departmental and Company terminology, programs and procedures

Operating a variety of office machines including copiers, fax machines, calculators, personal computers

Skilled in the use of the Design Area work management system Maximo), and new service application (NSA), customer care information system (CC&B).
General knowledge of TEP processes, requirements, materials and equipment. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer

Pay Rate: $39.29 per hour
