As an Accountant in the Drivetrain Cost & Decision Support group at Caterpillar, you will have the opportunity to partner with our Engineering and Supply Chain teams within Caterpillar Drivetrain business unit. You will play a key role in providing product cost support and analysis supporting our global Drivetrain organization. Also, you will provide costing support for major New Product Introductions (NPI) programs across many different product lines.

What You Will Do:

Product costing support and analysis

Complete discounted cash flow and other financial analysis related to cost requests and sourcing projects

Component New Product Introduction (NPI) support and analysis

Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes

Ad hoc support as needed

Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards

What You Have:

Education/Experience : This position typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

An aly tic al Th in king: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Fin an ci al An al ys is: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Mana gi ng M ul ti pl eP ri or it ie s: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

Product cost experience

High level of initiative, leadership, and accountability

Experience with costing systems - Enterprise Product Cost (EPC)

Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all levels of management

Strong analytical, process improvement and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated success and progression in previously held accounting roles

This role currently requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
