Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Accountant in Robert Half's FTEP, your duties will vary depending on client needs but will generally include:

Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP or IFRS principles.

Managing the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes.

Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for financial planning purposes.

Monitoring internal processes and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including billing and payment reconciliations.

Supporting audits by preparing necessary documentation and analytical insights for auditors.

Conducting variance analysis to explain financial fluctuations and provide data-driven insights.

Assisting with system implementations or optimizations, ensuring integrity and financial accuracy.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.

3+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, including experience in general ledger management and financial reporting.

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS standards.

Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, plus advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling).

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

The ability to adapt quickly to different industries, clients, and accounting requirements.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients.

A proactive attitude and an ability to work independently or collaboratively in dynamic environments.

The amount of Choice Time Off (CTO) received varies based on years of service and is pro-rated based on the hours worked per week.
