Enterprise Finance Technical Project Manager Job Locations Work From Your Own Home ID 2025-16417 Overview To lead the global project management and technical delivery of D365 Finance and Operations (F&O) as a core enterprise platform, ensuring effective planning, execution, and governance across both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and strategic development initiatives. The role is accountable for end-to-end project oversight including delivery into new legal entities, managing release cycles, prioritising and tracking development backlogs, and coordinating configuration changes. It also includes managing cross-system integrations (Dynamics CE to F&O, and F&O to LIMS), overseeing environment and code release activities, and working closely with Microsoft Partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and aligned delivery of platform enhancements. This is a global role supporting business operations across the entire organisation. It is not limited to new lab sites but spans the full lifecycle of the D365 F&O platform including enhancements, bug fixes, configuration changes, and planning of future development releases. The role also provides project management oversight of ongoing LIMS integration work, ensures consistent and aligned use of F&O across all entities, and supports harmonisation with CE. The postholder will manage activities across time zones and coordinate all platform development, release, and support activities, ensuring system alignment with centralised finance processes. Responsibilities Oversee release management and ensure a robust, scalable support model is in place, including backlog prioritisation, delivery planning and full Change Advisory Board participation. Govern and coordinate resolution of bugs, change requests, and configuration changes. Lead planning and delivery of development releases, working with internal teams and Microsoft Partners. Oversee environment management including refresh cycles, system stability, and technical readiness. Manage and support end-to-end integrations from CE to F&O, and F&O to LIMS, ensuring process continuity and data integrity. Coordinate Microsoft updates and custom code releases using LCS and Azure DevOps. Ensure technical alignment with core business processes such as Procure to Pay, Lead to Cash, and Project Accounting. Provide oversight and delivery governance of ongoing laboratory systems integration. Manage project plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies using tools such as Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project. Drive data migration activities with focus on quality and completeness during system cutovers. Ensure structured testing phases (SIT/UAT) are executed effectively and are fit for purpose. Work with global process owners and business trainers to assess business impacts of new functionality and ensure appropriate training and communication plans are in place. Act as a key interface between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and value realisation from system enhancements. Skills / Qualifications Knowledge and Skills Needed to Fulfil the Role: In-depth understanding of D365 F&O, particularly finance, procurement, sales, and Project Accounting modules. Knowledge of core business processes such as Procure to Pay, Lead to Cash, and Project Finance. Strong understanding of CE to F&O and F&O to LIMS integration principles, including APIs and data services. Skilled in managing backlog, version updates, soft updates, configuration changes, and technical code releases. Proficiency in Microsoft LCS, Azure DevOps, and other relevant project/release tools. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills. Comfortable managing across multiple time zones in a global delivery environment. Experience Needed to Fulfil the Role: 5+ years' experience in managing technical D365 F&O implementations and BAU operations. Proven ability to manage global ERP platforms across multiple sites and regions. Demonstrated experience in legacy ERP system replacement and cross-system integration. Familiarity with laboratory or highly integrated operational environments is advantageous. Experience managing cross-functional teams and Microsoft Partners, with a focus on platform governance, quality, and delivery outcomes.
