SUMMARY:

Under general direction and in accordance with established statutes and policies, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department. Employees in this title are expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assists with identification and evaluation of needs and the development and implementation of policies, procedures and programs, making recommendations as appropriate.

Supervises reporting staff by identifying and assigning work, communicating work performance expectations, establishing professional development plans, providing training, implementing corrective action plans, approving time, assuring appropriate staffing coverage, conducting periodic performance reviews, acknowledging accomplishments, providing assistance and issuing discipline.

Ensures delivery of effective service by providing clinical supervision, problem solving, guidance and support.

Ensures appropriate levels of client services and economic use of field time by monitoring mileage, case documentation and monthly statistical reports.

Evaluates unit's performance on a regular basis via perusal of statistical reports, and making adjustment in service as needed.

Represents the court/clinic on committees and boards as assigned.

Recommends policies, procedures and guidelines for process improvement, interpreting department policy and directives.

Assures accountability in the performance of day-to-day work and production of volume.

Interacts with various court, CMH, juvenile and police agencies; responding to inquiries from court staff, attorneys, defendants, litigants, law enforcement agencies and the public.

Reviews statistical reports provided by Quality Assurance Manager and provides feedback and corrective action plan as needed to the Deputy Administrator of the Family Assessment Services Department.

Assists in the development and overseeing execution of special projects as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related human service field. Two (2) years of paid experience providing psychotherapy treatment to both children and families. Previous clinical supervisory experience, as well as experience in program coordination and administration preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant software.
