As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a vital role in developing and optimizing CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers. Beyond programming, you'll analyze manufacturing processes, troubleshoot challenges, and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput. Your ability to think critically, solve problems, and refine systems will directly impact productivity and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
Writing CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and lathes using CAM software
Translating engineering drawings and CAD files into efficient machining strategies
Collaborating with machinists to ensure programs are user-friendly and easy to run
Troubleshooting issues and refining programs on the shop floor
Recommending and sourcing tooling, fixtures, and materials
Creating and maintaining clear documentation and digital program files
Continuously identifying and implementing process improvements
Staying current with CAM software updates and emerging manufacturing technologies
Supporting a culture of safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or 5+ years of CNC Programming Experience
A strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze and improve processes
Familiarity with machining principles and/or CAM software (via coursework, projects, or experience)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A hands-on, self-motivated approach with a drive to learn and improve systems

Physical Requirements:
