Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary
Maintains and stock all clinical areas of the office and ensures all instruments are cleaned, sterile, and in good repair. Works with Office Manager to identify stock needs and purchasing requirements. Complies with state regulations for ordering of state vaccine. Delivers patient education as directed by provider regarding symptom management, wound care, and chronic conditions. Responsible for quality control logs in practice.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Answers a multi-line phone. Schedules and confirms patients' appointments according to office policy. Screens phone calls and visitors, and route messages to appropriate party. Greets patients upon arrival and collects and enters necessary data into the computer. Monitors waiting area and keeps waiting patients informed about any delays or need to reschedule.
Completes and forwards information requested by payors including referral forms, copies of charts, records, lab results, etc., on a timely basis.
Non-Essential Position Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictate.
Provides back-up to office staff as needed. Assists with filing, telephones, communication with payor, etc.
Maintain an orderly supply of pharmaceutical samples, and culls expired medications as appropriate. records, insurance forms, and scheduling acute visits. May entail extensive follow-up.

What qualifications you will need:
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
High School Graduate / GED
Certified Medical Assistant, or NHA Cert Clinical Medical Assistant, or NAHP Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant, or AMT Registered Medical Assistant, or ABR-OE Assess Based Rec in Order Entry, or (EMT) Emergency Medical Technician, or (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
