A Day in the Life
As a Junior Finance Associate in our BEST Finance SG&A team in Tampa, you will report to the Director - BEST SG&A and work closely with a dynamic team of finance professionals. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting the financial close process, analyzing key performance indicators, and contributing to strategic projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and make a real impact on L'Oréal's financial success.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly reports, ad-hoc P&Ls, and assist with the consolidation process for financial close. Analyze and validate financial information for monthly consolidated reporting to worldwide headquarters via our proprietary group reporting system. This involves meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Summarize and analyze data related to headcount and capital spend, creating insightful reports for management. You will develop strong data visualization skills using Excel and potentially other tools.
Special Projects & Process Improvement: Contribute to various special projects, such as account analysis, process improvement initiatives, and systems enhancements. This will allow you to apply your analytical skills to real-world challenges and contribute to the efficiency of our team.
Financial Statement Review: Review Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets, gaining a comprehensive understanding of financial statements and key financial metrics.
We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with a strong academic record and a passion for finance. You are a self-starter, eager to learn, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
Recent Graduate: Must be a recent graduate from an Undergraduate program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Analytical Skills: Superior problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills are essential. You are detail-oriented and possess a strong ability to analyze complex financial data.
Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, are required. Experience with SAP is a plus but not mandatory.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders across different departments.
Legal Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent, ongoing basis without requiring sponsorship.
