RESPONSIBILITIES: Prioritize and uphold strict safety standards Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery efficiently and safely Conduct thorough pre-and post-operation inspections, reporting findings in compliance with policies Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed Operate equipment with a high level of skill, accuracy, and efficiency Adhere to all company policies and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations Complete additional tasks as assigned by management REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and early shifts as required. Ability to work in outdoor and underground environments under various weather conditions. Must pass a drug screening and comply with the company's Substance-Free Workplace Policy. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One year experience operating wheel loaders Experience with graders, excavators, and haul trucks. Familiarity with quarry equipment including crushers, conveyors, screens, and scales. Previous experience working in a quarry environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Climbing: Must be physically capable of safely climbing in and out of equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily. Heights: Ability to climb and work safely at heights exceeding 10 feet. Balance: Must maintain stability while standing and walking on potentially slick or uneven surfaces, sometimes while carrying equipment or materials. Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.
