Our Nutrition Therapy staff have specialized training in pediatric nutrition for normal growth and development and therapeutic needs. Additionally, we practice family-centered care, taking into account the family's community setting and culture and how family members interact with nutrition and health. All of our dietetics professionals maintain state and national credentials. 40% of the dietitians have an advanced degree and 40% have one or more specialty certifications. Many of our dietitians have a certificate of training in childhood and adolescent weight management. All of our lactation consultants are internationally board certified. We are recruiting for a Registered Dietitian for the Outpatient Clinics. This position is 32 hours per week, Monday-Friday varying from 8-9am to 4:30-5:30pm.

Please note that posted salary is based on 40 hours per week. * Reg Dietitian job is salaried. To give perspective, the hourly start rate is $28.26, or $58,780.80 annually. Thus 32 hours/week salary is $47,024.64. This is the start of our pay range. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Practice- Applies in-depth knowledge of normal child growth and development and pediatric nutrition when performing nutritional assessments. Anticipates implications of disease and therapy in the development of complex nutritional care plans including the utilization of existing or newly created nutrition standards of care. Appropriately utilizes roles of team members in helping to initiate a coordinated plan of care. Through advanced understanding of nutritional interventions, the dietitian is cognizant of the impact of these interventions in regards to the patients care and is able to recommend adjustments to meet the needs of the patient and family. Relies on in-depth knowledge and experience to critically evaluate those interventions that will be most successful in promoting positive outcome(s). Individualizes nutrition counseling and education to meet the needs of the patients, families and care providers as well as Developing educational materials as needed. Uses advanced knowledge of internal and external resources to support the nutrition plan of care in preparing the family for transition to home. Incorporates current research into clinical practice and shares information with peers.

Clinical Leadership- Identifies learning needs for nutrition staff, health care team members and community and initiates education activities to meet those needs. Identifies and meets ongoing learning needs of diet technicians and/or interns as applicable. Functions as a preceptor in orientation and education of new dietitians, as applicable.
