Medical Biller

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for processing and reconciling patient billing, insurance payments, and account postings. This role supports all Revenue Cycle operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy across related processes. The specialist collaborates with payors and third-party vendors to ensure timely and appropriate claims processing. Regular meetings with provider representatives are conducted to address trends and resolve individual account issues. The specialist also prepares monthly reports and escalates concerns, providing recommendations for resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience:

Minimum of two years of progressive experience in revenue cycle operations within a healthcare or ambulatory surgery center setting.

Proficient understanding of health insurance processing, CPT, and ICD coding.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework in Medical Terminology.

Training in medical billing, coding, or medical records management.

Experience:

Experience with Epic billing systems.

Experience with SIS (Surgical Information Systems).

Experience in ambulatory surgery center billing, collections, insurance, and payor relations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
