Job Summary
The Finance Director FP&A is accountable for consolidating and analyzing global Discovery & Safety Assessment (DSA) financial performances. The role requires leadership, strategic mindset, team performance management, along with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build, develop and lead a high-performing team
Focus on customer centricity and work closely with internal business partners, providing financial expertise and value-added services to support them in achieving their objectives
Initiate and maintain positive business partnerships and collaboration across operations, business finance and corporate accounting teams
Ensure data integrity and quality in both internal and external reporting/analysis
Drive the development of management reporting and planning systems and tools
Promote standardization and simplification
FP&A
Manage DSA Finance Calendar of meetings and reviews to ensure alignment with CRL corporate calendar, proper cadence, and adequate DSA management reviews prior to information submission.
Perform timely consolidation and bridge analysis for management review.
Manage DSA corporate functional budgets and allocations.
Prepare CRL and DSA deliverables such as presentations, schedules, and analyses.
Streamline and properly structure shared sites/folders for the finance teams.
Collaborate with other members of the DSA finance team to manage the STRAT and annual budget processes as well as ensure clear guidance and communication
Lead strategic projects to support continuous improvement in finance or other functional areas.
Develop financial reports and dashboards for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent required.
Experience: 15+ years related experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial analysis.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Certification/Licensure: MBA, CPA or CMA designation preferred.
Other: Comprehensive understanding of operational, sales and financial issues for business unit required.
