South End Market Cook - Part Time (MGM Springfield) The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International! THE JOB: Join our vibrant South End Market at MGM Springfield as a Cook, where you\'ll refine your culinary skills while fostering memorable connections with guests. Your warm attitude and genuine attentiveness will be key in understanding their unique stories and needs, ensuring that every interaction contributes to creating unforgettable WOW moments that will stay with them long after their visit. THE STARTING RATE: \$21.30 per hour THE DAY-TO-DAY: Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Knowledgeable of weights, measures and various cooking techniques Knowledge of knives and knife skills, standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, beverage machines, Cryovac machine and smallwares Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations Can work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Must be 18 years of age THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Free meals in our employee dining room.
