Driving world-class safety culture into daily operations through active and visible leadership
Managing production supervisors and team members with clearly defined roles; developing strong relationships with employees in order to support employee relations in a unionized environment
Leading and continually developing self and others at multiple levels of the organization through supervision, providing recognition, policy administration, and continuous coaching for improvement
Collaborating with cross functional teams and programs to continuously improve standard work and the efficiency/effectiveness of the organization
Tracking key metrics in manufacturing processes and communicating to employees and management; solving problems in operations by defining and ensuring execution of appropriate actions and following escalation plans
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to the start) from an accredited institution AND three (3) year's manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
OR
High School Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to the start) from an accredited institution AND five (5) years previous leadership, supervisory and/or management experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business from an accredited institution
Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a public, government or military environment
Three (3) years in a leadership position
Demonstrated ability to develop people and drive a culture of safety, trust and cooperation in a union environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work location: Cottage Grove
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travelRelocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $141,150 - $172,517, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
