Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina, within the non-profit sector. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful financial operations while supporting critical accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations, as well as experience backing up accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

Manage general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain proper accounting records.

Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.

Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

Assist in processing payroll using Paylocity, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Collaborate with team members to address and resolve financial discrepancies.

Maintain and update financial records in NetSuite, ensuring proper documentation.

Generate reports and balance sheet account analyses to support decision-making.

Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations in all financial processes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting roles within the non-profit sector.

Proficiency in general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Paylocity systems.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
