Summary of the Role:
We are seeking an Account Manager for our Aerospace & Defense team that will serve as the primary point of contact for key aerospace and defense clients. This role is responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, driving sales strategy and execution, and delivering high-impact solutions tailored to mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong technical acumen, and a proven ability to lead complex negotiations and sales cycles in a defense-regulated environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Primary contact for aerospace and defense clients, fostering long-term relationships and driving customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow chip and wafer sales within the aerospace and defense sectors.
Own the customer booking forecast, manage sales pipelines, and track opportunities from lead to close.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide tailored technical solutions for customer requirements, especially in mission-critical applications.
Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer programs to identify new opportunities and threats.
Work across product management, business development, and program management teams to align customer needs with internal roadmaps and capabilities.
Ensure sales activities adhere to ITAR, EAR, and other relevant defense regulations.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (technical background preferred).
5+ years of semiconductor sales experience, preferably in the aerospace and defense sectors.
In-depth understanding of chip/wafer manufacturing and applications in defense systems.
Proven success managing large, strategic accounts and consistently meeting sales targets.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with government procurement processes and defense contracting.
Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, forecasting, and performance measurement.
Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and leading transformation or change management initiatives.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Familiarity with digital transformation tools and governance frameworks is a strong plus.
Track record of recruiting and mentoring teams and diverse talent, ground up
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET level U.S. Government Security Clearance
Travel - Up to 50%
Fluency in English Language - written & verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education - Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
Experience with DoD programs or Tier 1 defense contractors.
Knowledge of MIL-STD requirements and ruggedized electronics.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Expected Salary Range
$99,000.00 - $159,100.00
The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
