Overview
The Job in a Nutshell:
The main responsibility of this position is to oversee the day-to-day implementation and project management of new store construction, store relocations, store renovations, and special projects.

Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
Prepares project scope of work and process submittals
Prepares cost projections and budgets for construction projects
Maintains good working relationships with contractors, vendors, architects, and engineers.
Generates, reviews, approves, and monitors construction schedules and expenses
Oversees construction to assure detailed conformance with the contract documents and highest quality workmanship, code compliance, ADA compliance, schedules, sequence, costs
Prepare purchase orders for contractors, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, consultants, etc.
Performs and is responsible for record keeping activities, such as financial tracking, site Inspection reports, review submittals, construction field reports, manages pay applications, processes change orders, and close out documents.
Identifies potential issues, cost savings changes and completes punch list
Manages support staff & trains others as needed
Conducts site inspections and field measurements
Provide weekly update to V.P. of Construction.

Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
BA in Architecture, Construction Management or Civil Engineering a plus
5 years of experience in Commercial Construction Management required
Minimum of 3 years of field experience required
OSHA 30 certification required
Retail construction management/experience a plus
Knowledge of Commercial Construction
Knowledge of IBC and ADA requirements
Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel required
Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills and exceptional leadership qualities

Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to constantly lift or carry up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or carry 11-20 lbs., and occasionally lift or carry 21-50 lbs. Must also have the ability to occasionally lift or carry 51-100 lbs. with a team lift.
Must have the ability to frequently push or pull up to 15 lbs. and occasionally push or pull 16-100 lbs.
Must be able to occasionally use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
Must be able to constantly walk, stand, use fine motor manipulations, grip, bend, twist, turn, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.
Must be able to frequently to reach above chest.
Must be able to occasionally sit, squat, kneel, and climb as needed.
Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to frequently work with sharp tools and equipment, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
Must be able to occasionally work with noise, cold, heat, wet, humid, outside, heights, and contact stress.
