Job Title: EHS Specialist - Facilities & Construction

Location: Lexington, MA & Waltham, MA

Type: Contract (6 Months)

Compensation: Up to $66.50/hr (Level IV) or $57.80/hr (Level III)

Position Overview

A global pharmaceutical leader is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to support its Facilities Operations and Construction Safety programs across two key Massachusetts sites. This role requires a strategic safety professional with a strong background in developing EHS documentation and leading field-based inspections and assessments.

Responsibilities

Serve as EHS support to Facilities and Construction teams at Lexington and Waltham sites

Conduct construction site inspections and job hazard assessments

Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions, including:

Fall Protection

Lockout/Tagout (Control of Hazardous Energy)

Confined Space Entry

Crane Lifts

Line Break protocols

Provide training to both internal employees and contractors

Review and manage safe work permits and maintain accurate compliance records

Qualifications

Level IV: 7+ years of EHS experience

Level III: 5+ years of EHS experience

Proven experience in construction safety

Demonstrated ability to develop strategic EHS documentation

Hands-on experience with training, assessments, inspections, and recordkeeping

Ability to commute regularly to Lexington and Waltham locations - Note: Traffic in Lexington can be heavy - estimate 3-5 minutes per mile during rush hour
